Beans take a while and usually are done on the weekend. You can't really leave them going - so you'll have time to do other chores as you make your low cost protein for the week.
- Clean pots and pans
- Clean the kitchen
- Clean the bathroom
- Do your ironing
- Fold your laundry
- Go through grocery store flyers for deals
- Play cards with your roommates
- Cut up staple vegetables (onions, carrots, celery)
- Call your parents
- Plan the weekly menu
- Vacuum the apartment
- Have a Ukulele jam with your friends
- Do homework
