Beans take a while and usually are done on the weekend. You can't really leave them going - so you'll have time to do other chores as you make your low cost protein for the week.

  • Clean pots and pans
  • Clean the kitchen
  • Clean the bathroom
  • Do your ironing
  • Fold your laundry
  • Go through grocery store flyers for deals
  • Play cards with your roommates
  • Cut up staple vegetables (onions, carrots, celery)
  • Call your parents
  • Plan the weekly menu
  • Vacuum the apartment
  • Have a Ukulele jam with your friends
  • Do homework
